Help in the restoration of THE MAINSTREET WARNER LODGE

A one-of-a-kind community and performing arts center in the heart of a rural New Hampshire village, open year-round and welcoming to all.  Solar powered and flanked by a sunlit terrace, the Lodge and its community kitchen, meeting room, and main hall will restore a beautiful, historic building to its longstanding role of community support and advancement, and create a new, enticing place to gather in Warner.

The Plan: MainStreet Warner has ambitious plans for the property at 17 Church Street. In one part of the building, a newly outfitted community kitchen, spacious walk-in cooler, and meeting room will permit MSW’s partners – Warner-centered groups committed to addressing food insecurity – to store, prepare, package and distribute food, and hold cooking and nutritional education classes. Other service-oriented groups will make use of the bright, spacious, well-appointed community room for meetings and more effective collaboration. The Lodge will be 100% solar powered and its backup power capacity will be useful to the town as an emergency facility for heating and cooling.

In the main hall of the old church, connected to the meeting room by a short passageway, MainStreet Warner envisions a distinctive educational and performing arts center, an intimate year-round venue offering any number of events – plays, movies, concerts, readings, speaker series, arts and craft shows.  In tune with the needs of the present and the foreseeable future, the MSW Lodge project will re-commit a beautiful, historic, yet under-used building in the heart of town to its longstanding role as a place of community building and connection.
