Marguerite’s Place has a 30+ year history of empowering families experiencing homelessness—offering more than safe shelter. We provide the tools, community, and coaching families need to heal from trauma and break the cycle of homelessness for good.

Danielle knows this deeply. Just weeks before giving birth
to her third child, she arrived at Marguerite’s Place with nowhere else to go.
When she walked into her new apartment, she cried. “I couldn’t believe
this was going to be my space. It was ours.” Baby Jaxton was born days
later into warmth, safety, and love—his very first home made
possible because of someone like you.

For Geomaly, Marguerite’s Place meant finally having
the support she needed after years of living in a walk-in closet with her
daughter, Arahileen. Because of your generosity, she accessed high-quality
childcare, which allowed her to pursue her career goals. Her daughter finally
had the space to learn, play, and grow—something simply not possible in their
previous living situation.

Who We Are

We're changing lives at Marguerite's Place! Since our founding in 1994, we have been empowering women with children by offering a combination of housing, onsite childcare, intensive case management, and referrals. Whether it is in our transitional housing program, Aftercare, or Childcare, we focus on asset and strength building, enhancing self-esteem, increasing the client’s level of confidence, and assisting them in developing the necessary skills to achieve their optimum level of health, well being, and self sufficiency.
Our Childcare is open to the public and is recognized by the NH Department of Health and Human Services as a “Licensed Plus” provider, a high quality level of care. Our goal is to help our families live their lives to their fullest potential.
