Monadnock Interfaith Project (MIP) is a nonprofit organization
where we find common ground with people from different walks
of life, religious backgrounds, ages, and political perspectives.
We come together around shared values for hope and respect.
MIP makes personal connections, building relationships through
shared experiences. We work together in whole-hearted ways
on challenges that confront our community.
In 2025 MIP is embarking on a new community organizing focus on mental health!

MIP leaders engaged 350 people in small group listening gatherings in which people shared their stories and local concerns. At a community assembly, a new priority area of
mental health was chosen. A research team has been formed that is beginning research in our area and will be working towards a local, systemic change.
This is following the successful housing campaign that created a Housing Development fund in support of new affordable housing units in our region.
We are actively building bridges across religious differences in our region. People involved in identify as Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Unitarian Universalist, Baha'i, and individually spiritual. To deepen understanding across differences, MIP holds many interfaith events including a Faith Festival, annual picnic, book groups, concerts and other events.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
