Pemi Youth Center

The Pemi Youth Center (PYC) is a non-profit organization serving as a free child care facility for youth ages 9-17 of Plymouth, NH, and surrounding communities. Our motto “Love Grows Here”. We are dedicated to providing a safe and growth-focused environment where young people of our community can gather, socialize, and find a sense of belonging outside of school at no cost to families. We provide the tools, resources, and space to empower our community’s youth to set and reach their goals while moving through their world practicing love and compassion. About 100 youth per year engage at PYC, not only during after-school hours, but also through PYC-hosted events, workshops, and summer programming. It has been shown time and again that connection, humanity, and love are the driving forces in our world and are needed now more than ever. We are dedicated to engaging our youth through mentoring, empowerment programming, creative arts, social and recreational activities, STEM activities, mental health and self-exploration, college application support, and opportunities for community service. We also provide afternoon snacks and dinner, which have been essential for many of our youth participants and their families of varying financial backgrounds. Not only is PYC an invaluable resource for the supervision and safety of our community’s youth, but we also support each participant as they grow into adulthood and the adverse challenges that come with it.  In doing so, we have created a space for children to come as they are and leave knowing they are worthy of inclusion, compassion, and futures brighter than they can imagine because love grows here.
