Taproot is an organization in which relationships are developed – with our food, with the environment, and with each other. Our work is guided by our mission, which is educating, inspiring, and connecting communities to the land, to their food, and to each other. 

Our programs include: 


  1. a local food Marketplace and food hub where we strive to connect our community to local food year round!

  2. a variety of Food Access programs and services that includes the Lancaster Community Garden, Plant-a-Row, Gleaning, SNAP Incentives at our Marketplace, and the Farm Share CSA.

  3. a diverse slate of Education programs, that includes our weekly Farm and Forest school outreach, Wild Wednesdays after school, and our nature-based summer camp!

Join our community as a new supporter as we work toward expanding our local food economy and support of local agriculture, getting more children outside growing food and exploring nature, and striving to increase equitable access to fresh, nourishing, local food.
