The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center

What We Do

Avenue A partners with rural teens age 11-19 to build resilience and leadership through creative expression, social development, wellness, & career skill building.  With the support of over 70 volunteers, we run year-round enrichment programs and are a hub of support for youth. 

As a Teen Center embedded in The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center, we provide multigenerational support for entire families. Avenue A is a unique model in the state. We received the NH Psychological Association's Distinguished Contribution award for how we support youth mental wellness! 

300 teens from 18 towns participate in Avenue A —coming from across the ConVal School District and surrounding towns. 

Avenue A welcomes youth of all abilities, including those with chronic illnesses, physical disabilities, neurodivergence, and mental health challenges. We celebrate the unique identity of every teen!

Why We Need You

Our programs are offered at no-cost, removing barriers to participation for teens.  The funding we raise during NH Gives makes our programs possible! 

Programs offered seasonally or on an ongoing basis include:

Career/Life Skills: Cooking - Woodworking/Carpentry - Leadership Development - T.A.C.O (Cooking Club) 

Social Development: Middle School Afterschool Club - Pizza Talk - Open Hours - Clothing Day - Fishing Group 

Creative Expression: High School Write Out! - Art Workshops - Middle School Writers' Society - Lawn Chair Drill Team

Wellness and Healthy Living: Yoga – Biking - Outdoor Adventures Group - Pick-Up Basketball - Sledding - Hiking - Workout Group

Who We Are

The Grapevine mission is to promote family and community health and well-being through support, education and the sharing of resources. Grapevine programs and services support:
- Parents and Family Members as the best teachers of their children;
- Children, so they will be healthy and ready to learn, and
- Our Community, as a healthy and supportive environment for all.
