The Home Possible Project is a local grassroots nonprofit organization with a Mission to create supportive housing opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

Thanks to the generousity of the First United Methodist Church of Gilford-Laconia, we have acquired a beautiful 6 acre parcel of land in Gilford, NH where we will build our first flagship Community Residence for adults with developmental disabilities.

This amazing Community Residence will be fully accessible and include 12 seperate studio/one bedroom apartments each with an ADA bathroom and kitchennette. Common areas such as a family room, kitchen/dining room and outdoor recreation areas will promote socialization and friendships.  There will be 24/7 staff that will provide person-centered support and assist with daily living skills, food preparation, socialization, medication and health monitoring, recreational activities, and provide transportation so residents can fully access their community and friends. The Home Possible Project aims to provide a lifetime home where residents will continue to grow and thrive.

This initiative addresses a critical need for supportive housing with services for adults with developmental disabilities (DD). It will provide stable, caring housing options for individuals when their family members are no longer able to provide for their care. Approximately 70 percent of adults who experience a developmental disability live at home with family caregivers. Sixty percent of caregivers are between the ages of 55 and 74. There is a critical lack of housing options for adults with DD as family caregivers age and are no longer able to provide that support.

Together, we can create a brighter future for adults with developmental disabilities. Your support will not only provide much-needed housing but also empower individuals to live their lives to the fullest.

The Home Possible Project's Board of Directors have pledged MATCHING FUNDS of up to $5,000 for The Home Possible Project's NH GIVES Campaign, DOUBLING the VALUE of your donation. Donate early on June 10 and 11 to ensure your gift is matched and help turn $5,000 into $10,000 to support our mission of creating supportive housing for adults with developmental disabilities in the Lakes Region of NH.
