Wanakee’s story is one of deep roots, wild joy, and unwavering faith. A sacred place where generations of campers have grown in confidence, character, and community. It is a place full loving relationships and radical acceptance. Memories are made on the shores of Lake Pemigewasset at our waterfront, where campers take their first paddle strokes, cheer each other on during swim checks, and find peace watching the sunset over Monkey Island.

For decades, our swim and boat docks have been the launch point for first canoe rides, sunset swims, and quiet moments floating beneath the sky. They’ve borne the weight of thousands of footsteps—joyful, hesitant, courageous—each one part of a camper’s journey. Now, after years of faithful service, it’s time to rebuild them for the next generation.
