NH Gives 2025/Launching West Central’s Passion Projects!
Most of us benefit from having a hobby or passion that provides us with purpose and fuels our creativity. These pursuits often motivate us to get out of bed in the morning and shape how we spend the majority of our weekends. West Central clients do not always possess the resources to explore a new interest or long-held passion. Picture being a teenager presented with the opportunity to participate in therapeutic horse riding lessons, a young mom grappling with self-image who wishes to try yoga classes, or an older adult eager to learn how to paint.
People engaged in exercise, work, and community activities are happier and healthier. Engaging in these activities is the foundation of forming long-lasting friendships and good social support. Passion and purpose through work, leisure, and hobbies contribute to good mental health for children and adults.
As a participating non-profit in NH Gives, West Central seeks to establish a fund for mini-grants to be awarded to clients to pursue an activity such as gardening, fly fishing, or art classes. Please join us by contributing to our Passion Projects Program at West Central Behavioral Health. Initial gifts, up to $1,000, will be matched by West Central Employee sponsors.
Giving begins at 5 PM on June 10th!
