Peer-to-Peer Fundraisers

What is a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser?

A Peer-to-Peer or P2P Fundraiser is a supporter who rallies around your cause to fundraise on your behalf. These supporters create their own fundraising page as a spin off of your main NH Gives profile. Your Fundraisers will share that page with their network to expand the reach of your cause and bring in new donors. These individuals are passionate about the work you do, and use their voice to make a difference!

Potential P2P Fundraisers

Strategies & Best Practices

Invite Everyone!

Never assume that someone is not interested in being a P2P fundraiser. Make the opportunity available to everyone. You're asking them to be part of something fun and magical. You'll be surprised who may be invested.

Celebrate Success

Make sure you have a line of communication with your fundraisers. Cheer them on when you see them bringing in donations. Let them know when you hit milestones or fundraising goals. And when it's all over, have a plan to thank them for their hard work during your campaign.

Build a Toolkit

Make it easy for your fundraisers. Put together a mini marketing toolkit. Make sure they have access to your branding so that they are representing you correctly. Provide templates for emails and social media. Give them impact stories to share.

Make it Fun!

Create incentives for your fundraisers. A little friendly competition can make the experience more interesting for people. Some of the most successful uses of P2P fundraising during NH Gives have involved board members trying to out-do each other and bring in the most donors or most dollars.
