Community Caregivers of Greater Derry may be the best thing you’ve never heard of. Yes, it is true; so many people have no idea we exist! But the reason for that is very simple – usually we don’t notice the things we don’t need, until we need them.

I hadn’t heard of Community Caregivers of Greater Derry until I started to do some research looking for a way to help people in my community. I started volunteering by driving clients to their doctor's appointments. Yes, we do that too! 

I am a huge fan of Community Caregivers of Greater Derry & the Loaner's Closet for Durable Medical Equipment. Their mission is near and dear to me: Enriching Lives and Supporting Individuals to Remain Independent Through a Volunteer Community. With a tough economic climate and brutal home health labor shortages, Caregivers and the Loaner's Closet, are needed now more than ever. The volunteers help home-bound seniors with Groceries, Transportation, Handyman Repairs, Telephone Reassurance, Although their services are all free of charge, I assure you it does not come without costs. Please consider making a donation to NH GIVES on June 9th and 10th. I want to make sure they are around for another 38 years. No donation is too small.
