NH Hands-on Education Programs

Our STEM-accredited, hands-on education programs are designed for learners of all ages and backgrounds, providing engaging experiences that connect people with the natural world. Through interactive activities, live demonstrations, field-based learning, and expert-led instruction, participants gain practical knowledge of ecology, natural history, and environmental stewardship in ways that are both memorable and meaningful, often times while contributing to real biodiversity data and research projects in New Hampshire.

Our organization is the recipient of one of the Entomological Society of America's Science Communication Awards, and earned the Best in STEM distinction which is awarded exclusively to organizations ranking within the top 5% of those evaluated for commitment to STEM education globally.

Rather than simply presenting information, our programs encourage curiosity, observation, and critical thinking. Participants learn how ecosystems function, how species interact with one another, and why biodiversity is essential to the health of our planet. By starting with insects and exploring their relationships between plants, other animals, fungi, and their environments, learners develop a deeper understanding of the natural processes that sustain life on Earth.

A strong emphasis is placed on building real-world skills. Participants practice scientific observation, species identification, habitat assessment, and ecological problem-solving while gaining confidence in their ability to explore and understand nature. These experiences help foster a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and inspire greater engagement with conservation and environmental issues.

Our programs also introduce key conservation philosophies that emphasize respect, responsibility, and stewardship. Learners discover how individual actions can contribute to the protection of wildlife, habitats, and ecological systems. By highlighting both the challenges facing the natural world and the solutions available to address them, we empower participants to become informed advocates for conservation within their communities.

Whether serving young children, students, families, educators, community groups, or lifelong learners, our programs are carefully tailored to be accessible, engaging, and impactful. Participants leave with new knowledge, practical skills, and a greater appreciation for the remarkable diversity of life that surrounds us.

 Through education, exploration, and direct experience, we help cultivate the next generation of naturalists, conservationists, and environmentally conscious citizens.

Our $15k goal could cover up to a year's worth of education around the state of NH at no cost to local families, schools, community groups, nature centers, and museums.
