The Woodman Museum in Dover, New Hampshire is not just a place where I work. I have been coming to this museum since I was a child. There’s something special about this place from the staff, to the history, to the exhibits and artifacts inside. This museum needs a lot of help with deferred maintenance and we have done a lot of work thus far. We’ve updated the HVAC system, electrical systems, made the grounds more ADA accessible, and fixed the roofs and chimneys. However, there’s still more work to be done. The front portico of the main Woodman House, owned by Charles and Annie Woodman until her death in 1915, has fallen into disrepair. We have received some donations and grants to restore the front entrance, but the project as a whole is estimated to cost $80,000. Whatever you can give this NH Gives will go a long way in helping us restore this beautiful entryway.
