One Hurdle After Another

Gravy just can’t seem to catch a break. This sweet pup came to us from a rural shelter after being hit by a car, which left him with injuries that required orthopedic surgery before he made his way to Homeward Trails. Despite everything he has been through, Gravy has remained incredibly sweet and gentle with everyone he meets. But after arriving in our care, we received more difficult news - Gravy tested positive for heartworm disease and needs treatment. Shortly after receiving that news, Gravy broke his leg - AGAIN! 

It’s a lot for any dog to go through, especially one who has already endured so much. Gravy didn’t deserve any of this, but we are committed to giving him the chance at the happy, healthy life he deserves. His heartworm treatment come with significant costs and add to that the care he'll need for his broken leg. We are asking for help from our community to support him.
