Second Start is committed to improving the economic and educational well-being of New Hampshire residents. Our goal is to help people become more productive workers, family members and community citizens.

We provide supportive, affordable and effective educational programs including but not limited to: Adult Basic Education, Job Training and Career Counseling, Education and Training for at-risk Youth, and Child Care Services.

A donation would help as many as 500 people in the Concord area. We have an LNA program that has 8 students that work with NHTI to obtain their certification. Our program is unique as it has 6 weeks of ESOL and Medical Terminology before the classes begin. Also, the cost to the students is minimal as we try to raise funds for this program. This program effects more than just the student; it effects their families and their community. 

We have an Alternative High Scholl as well as the HiSet (GED) program which is no cost to students. We have Adult Tutoring and ESOL classes. Our Daycare is open to the public and is our only tuition-based program. We do offer scholarships for it. We have 105 children registered from ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We offer afterschool care and summer care.

Second Start has a wide impact on our community having been in Concord for 54 years and counting.
