When Winston arrived at SCRR, he was frightened, anxious, and unsure of the world around him. Like so many dogs who come through our gates, he needed something that can't be rushed—time.

Time to decompress. Time to build trust. Time to learn that he was safe.

Through patience, consistency, and the unwavering support of people who believed in him, Winston has begun to find his footing. Day by day, he is growing more confident, more trusting, and more comfortable in the world around him.

Winston's journey reminds us that healing isn't measured in days or weeks. It happens through countless small moments of kindness, understanding, and love. When a dog is given the time they need, incredible transformations can happen.
