Queen City Bicycle Collective has an exciting opportunity to relocate our operations to 803 Elm Street, on the east side of Elm Street between Merrimack and Manchester Streets.

This move would bring QC Bike into a highly visible downtown storefront, strengthen our long-term stability, and allow us to build out a space better suited to the needs of our  community.

The opportunity is especially meaningful as the building is owned by NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire, QC Bike’s former fiscal sponsor and a longtime community partner. NeighborWorks has graciously offered QC Bike a renewable five-year lease with favorable terms, creating the possibility of a more secure and sustainable home for our work.

This move represents the chance for QC Bike to:

  • Bring our work into a more central and visible location

  • Activate a prominent Elm Street storefront that has been empty for some time

  • Address growing concerns about space insecurity in our current location

  • Design a shop layout that better supports Open Shop, bike refurbishment, volunteer work, and community engagement

  • Strengthen QC Bike’s long-term ability to get, and keep, Manchester riding bicycles safely and affordably

The opportunity is significant, and so are the challenges.

Relocating an active community bike shop is a major undertaking. We need to plan and complete renovations, manage the move while continuing our regular programming, maintain our current commitments, and raise additional funds for the transition while also sustaining our everyday work.

That is where our community comes in.
