This is a fundraiser, so let me share a little of my story.
If you know me at all, you know I'm something of an overachiever. I turned 50 this year, and it's caused me to think deeply about longevity—both personally and professionally. One thing has become increasingly clear: if we are going to meaningfully reduce human trafficking and exploitation, it won't happen because of one passionate leader. It will take hundreds.
Over the past 10 years, I've had the privilege of helping build The Freedom Café into a place where people gather, learn, and take action. Along the way, I've discovered that one of my greatest joys is raising up leaders. That's why I'm so excited about investing in student fellows, volunteers, and emerging professionals who bring fresh ideas and new energy to this work.
I'm excited about expanding our educational programs, equipping industry leaders to recognize and respond to exploitation, and launching new Freedom Café locations that can multiply our impact in communities across New Hampshire and beyond.
I'm encouraged by how much progress has been made over the past decade. Many of the conversations, policies, and trainings that once seemed ambitious are now becoming standard practice. But the next chapter will require even greater strategy, collaboration, and perseverance.
I believe The Freedom Café has tremendous potential to strengthen communities, develop future leaders, support organizations serving vulnerable populations, and address exploitation in global supply chains. But building a movement takes more than vision—it takes people willing to invest in it.
Would you join me today by supporting The Freedom Café's NH Gives campaign?
Whether your gift is $5 or $5,000, you are helping equip leaders, expand awareness, strengthen communities, and prevent exploitation before it happens.
Together, we can build a future where more people are informed, empowered, and free.
