My 10-Year Journey with The Freedom Cafe: Help Me Raise $2,000 for Our Biggest Fundraiser of the Year!

A decade ago, I joined the board of The Freedom Cafe because I believed in a simple but radical idea: that a local coffee shop could become a catalyst for global freedom. Today, 10 years later, that belief is stronger than ever.

Having served on the board for a decade, I’ve had a front-row seat to the power of conscious consumerism. I’ve watched our community come together over a morning brew to confront a dark reality—that modern slavery and human trafficking are deeply woven into the global supply chains of the products we use every day.

At The Freedom Cafe, we refuse to accept that human suffering should be the price of convenience. As a non-profit café, we dedicate ourselves to ending human trafficking by raising critical awareness, educating consumers on how to make ethical choices, and funding frontline organizations that rescue and rehabilitate survivors.

Today, I am launching my biggest effort yet. This is our largest fundraiser of the year, and my personal goal is to raise $2,000.

This work is deeply personal to me. After 10 years on the board, I know firsthand that change is possible—but as a non-profit, our momentum completely depends on the generosity of people like you. Hitting this $2,000 goal will ensure we can finish the year strong and scale up our impact.
