I've been a Freedom Café volunteer for 10 years, first as a barista volunteering with my son. Now as Board President. 

Trafficking isn't just a criminal justice issue.

 It's a supply chain issue, an education issue and a consumer issue. It lives in the choices we make every day, from the coffee we drink to the companies we support. 

The Freedom Café makes that connection personal. You come in for a latte, leave understanding how your everyday choices connect to someone else's freedom.

We serve ethically sourced specialty coffee on a name-your-price donation model, 100% of proceeds fund the fight against trafficking and we engage over 5,000 community members and 75+ volunteers every year, many of them students building the skills to lead and advocate long after they leave Durham.
