NH Gives 2026 BOD Fundraising Campaign

Zebra Crossings holds a very special place in my heart. My journey with this organization began as a parent of a child with a chronic medical condition. I still remember the first time I stepped into a space where my child wasn’t just welcomed and understood, but truly celebrated for exactly who they are. It was a place where kids could show up fully as themselves—no explanations needed, no sense of being different—just joy, connection, and belonging. In that moment, I knew we had found something truly special.

Over the past few years, my involvement has grown from parent participant to volunteer, and most recently to proud board member. Along the way, I have witnessed countless moments that stay with me—the quiet confidence a child gains after trying something new, the friendships that form so naturally, and the relief and joy of parents watching their children simply be themselves.

I am proud to support Zebra Crossings because I believe a medical diagnosis should never define childhood. I know how easily the demands of managing a chronic condition can make moments of joy and connection in community hard to co by for families.

That is why I am so grateful that Zebra Crossings removes the cost barrier for participation. Because of this, every child—regardless of their health condition or zip code—has the opportunity to build confidence, form friendships, explore new interests, and just be a kid.
