Help On Belay provide free, year-round adventure programs for youth impacted by a loved one's cancer diagnosis.

Mission

On Belay builds community among youth who have been impacted by a loved one's cancer diagnosis using adventure-based programs to encourage participants uncover their inner resilience. Our programs are free for our participants and are intentionally designed to provide a supportive community of like-experienced peers, find their inner strength and to have fun!

How We Do It

On Belay provides year-round, monthly day and overnight adventure programs for children, ages 8-18, impacted by a loved one's cancer. Our programs take place in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, serving youth from all over New England. On Belay programs include indoor and outdoor rock climbing, challenge courses, sea kayaking, hiking, surfing, mountain biking and much more! Through these programs, we help kids uncover their inner resiliency, build a support network with like-experienced peers, and very importantly - have fun!

Who We Are

What started in 2004 by our Founding Director, Crescentia Healy-True as one program with a handful of families including her own, has grown to 20 programs that are offered year-round and has supported over 2,600 children.  Through adventure, play and time away, we offer children a chance to be part of a supportive community of peers who "get it" and have faced similar challenges in life as they walk alongside a loved one with cancer.  We are a small and mighty team who works hard to provide high quality programs and create connections that last a lifetime.
