Donna B’s Fundraiser for ElderPet

ElderPet is an all-volunteer organization that supports the human/animal bond in a few ways.

ElderPet provides training and conducts testing for human/pet teams to serve their communities as Therapy Pet teams.  This is a wonderful community service that helps bring a bright spot to elders in care homes, patients in cancer centers, and young children just learning to read — and these are just a few examples.

Recognizing the value of the human/animal bond and the value of pets to people, Elderpet also provides direct assistance to help people keep their beloved pets happy, healthy, and in their care.  This support is provided in a few ways:  Pet food delivered to the home of elders and disabled who are in financial need; pet medication financial assistance; and pet medical care grants to partially cover care that may otherwise be out of reach financially.
