My Favorite Things At AVA
There are so many things at and about AVA that have continued to bring me back. I filled many roles since 2008 when I first became a member. Now, as a Volunteer, I have figured out some of My Favorite Things:
* The Art to view and be inspired by.
* The Welcoming Feeling when you walk in the door.
* The Staff who are there to help you find what you are looking for and answer questions that you may have.
* The Artists provide such varied styles and media.
* The Artists Talks give some understand to the Art and the Artist.
* The Visitors are often full of questions about the space, the Art and the Artists. As a Volunteer Gallery Sitter, it is a delight to speak with them.
* The Carter-Kelsey Building has history in the community.
* The Bente Torjusen West Sculptural Studies Building expanded opportunities for Artists, both established and those wanting to learn all types of visual arts.
