Right now, somewhere between Franconia Notch and the Canadian border, a dog is waiting. Maybe it was surrendered. Maybe it was found cold and alone on a back road in Coös County. Either way, Above the Notch Humane Society is there.
For NH Gives 2026, we're asking our community to show up for the animals of northern New Hampshire during New Hampshire's biggest day of giving, running from Tuesday, June 9 at 5 PM to Wednesday, June 10 at 5 PM. Every gift you make in that 24-hour window goes directly to the care of dogs and companion pets in our region. Nhnonprofits
About ATNHS:
Since 2001, Above the Notch Humane Society has been a 501(c)(3) nonprofit staffed entirely by volunteers, providing food, shelter, socialization, and veterinary care for dogs and companion pets. We respond to reports of abuse and neglect, assist in searches for lost animals, and ensure every pet in our care is placed in a safe, loving, and permanent home.
We are a foster-based, compassionate care organization. That is a promise we make to every animal that comes through our doors, and it is one we keep every single day, entirely through the generosity of people like you.
Why NH Gives:
NH Gives brings together hundreds of nonprofits and thousands of donors for 24 hours of generosity, celebration, and community pride. Throughout the event, organizations compete for special incentive prizes and matching gifts designed to amplify donations and inspire generosity across the state, which means your gift to ATNHS could go even further.
