Help Fund Teaching Science Through Art!

Hey friends, 

I'm fundraising for a non-profit that personally means a lot to me. 

As some of you know I've been with Unchartered for a little bit now, and I'm happy to say that we're doing some amazing work. And I'm so glad i made the leap into the non-profit space.

We offer an inclusive and safe environment for kids to play with science and art in meaningful ways. Teaching science through hands on activities and art is a great way to reach kids who may not necessarily thrive in a traditional science classroom. 

In every school I've been in, when the kids come into an Unchartered class they always ask "what are we making today?" You can hear in their voices that we've turned science into something they look forward to. They come in excited to be there, and primed to learn.

We encourage them to engage with their world, we talk about their neighborhoods and how the local environment plays a part in their day to day life.

We show them microscopic life, amd how alive the world around them truly is.

They learn to be curious, to ask questions, and then how to find the answers. We show them that there's not just one path to a solution, that sometimes things don't always go as expected, and that's awesome because that's just how science works!

And at the end of a session, every class at every school asks the same thing: "when will you be back?". And the truth is that most of the time we can't give them an answer.

People like you are the only reason Unchartered has been able to make art and science education accessible to students who often fall between the cracks in our educational system. It's with donations like yours that allow us to get in classrooms and send a clear message to our students; that they belong. That they are smart enough for the material, and not only that but they can even have fun doing it.

This year, Unchartered is fundraising for NH Gives from June 9th- 10th. NH Gives is a fundraising initiative created by the NH Center for Nonprofits, giving us a chance to be seen on a wider scale, connect with new supporters, and to spread our mission with new and old friends. 

Our goal this year is to raise $5,000. These funds will go directly towards: hands-on science materials, real experiments in the classrooms, and programs delivered to students who wouldn't otherwise have access. 

Translation: your donation turns into actual experiments in actual classrooms.

Not someday. 

Not theoretically. 

Immediately.
