Every child deserves a place to learn, grow, and play.
Cornerstone Charter School is a new tuition-free public school opening in Fall 2026 in Lebanon, New Hampshire, serving the Upper Valley. Our mission is to ensure every child becomes a strong reader, thinker, and leader.
Our curriculum is grounded in proven reading research and taught by specially trained teachers using the Orton-Gillingham approach, a structured, step-by-step method that helps all children learn to read. We also provide a strong knowledge-building curriculum and hands-on learning for active learners.
We are especially committed to serving students who have been historically underserved, including children from low-income families, multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and children of color. Our goal is to provide every child with the strong foundation they need to succeed.
At Cornerstone, we are also working to contribute beyond our own classrooms. As we grow, we will share what we learn with the broader educational community through professional learning opportunities and by sharing student outcomes. Our goal is to be an active part of the public school community, helping improve practices for the benefit of all students.
At the same time, we are building something essential for our first students.
A place to play.
When we open, we will welcome 64 students in grades K–3. These children will spend their days learning and growing, but they also need time to move, explore, and simply be children.
We are raising funds to build a safe, engaging playground that includes:
- A play structure
- Safe surfacing
- Secure fencing
For many children, especially those who struggle in school, recess is where confidence grows and friendships begin. For our students, this space will be an important part of their daily experience, a place of joy, connection, and belonging.
We are working to have this playground ready for our opening in Fall 2026.
Your gift will help us create a school where children are not only taught well, but cared for fully.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign.
Together, we can build a place where every child can learn, grow, and play.
