Currently, there is no straightforward solution to this issue in New Hampshire. The state lacks a dedicated supportive housing system for this population, making the situation an increasingly urgent concern.

Families often provide exceptional support to their adult children with IDD, which can sometimes lead to their needs being overlooked. As parents age, it is crucial to consider what support systems will be available in the future. Ultimately, these individuals require appropriate supportive housing to maintain a healthy and fulfilling life, as well as opportunities for active community engagement.

Our Place NH is a long-term program committed to providing individuals with IDD in the Seacoast region with stable, respectful housing and personalized support. Our mission is to promote independence, encourage community involvement, and foster a sense of belonging and friendship.
