Since 5pm last night we've been raised enough to add a couple new luncheons to our calendar. Please help us cross the finish line so we can add even more luncheons for months to come that will be enjoyed by so many!
Since its incorporation in 1977, Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County has supplied 15,969,000 meals and services, all dedicated to upholding our mission to create connection and enrich the lives of older and isolated adults so that they may live independently through nutrition, social engagement and community services.
Today, more than 5,000 individuals enjoy the nutritional and social benefits of our programs, including hundreds of veterans, retired workers, and adults between the ages of 18 and 59 who qualify for Meals on Wheels due to income and disability limitations. This impact is only possible through the goodwill of community partners who donate their time or treasure to ensure no older adult is left on a waiting list. Also, corporate and non-profit partners help stretch resources to serve the evolving needs of a growing population, and public servants advocate for Meals on Wheels to receive critical funding as an essential service.
