These photos are of my very first rescue on my first trip to Nicaragua with Julie in 2021. We were driving through a small village when Julie said “pull over!”. She jumped out of the car when she saw sisters, Daisy and Petunia, outside of a store. She asked the owners of the store if they were their’s and they said yes, but “take them. We can’t take care of them”. That is how everything starts. One (or in this case 2) at a time, are scooped up, cleaned up, fed, spayed, and ultimately adopted! Over the years, I have been honored to be part of many projects here in the US and Nicaragua.
Even though the organization has grown, it doesn’t mean that there is any one else who will help these beautiful creatures. The need never ends and NicaLove will continue to change the lives of humans and animals alike, WITH YOUR HELP!
