Education is more than information. It is how we understand ourselves, our history, our communities, and our possibilities.
The Education & Cultural Preservation Fund supports BWINH Collective's efforts to preserve Black history, strengthen cultural knowledge, develop community leadership, and create opportunities for Black people of all ages to learn, grow, and reconnect with their heritage.
For generations, Black history, contributions, cultures, and ways of knowing have been erased, distorted, or excluded from traditional educational spaces. Through community-based learning, storytelling, cultural preservation, and leadership development, we work to reclaim the knowledge that helps us better understand our past, navigate our present, and imagine our future.
This fund supports programs including Black Womxn Lead, Reclaiming Our Truth, Seeds of Solidarity, Culture Keepers, Black Women in NH: A Living History, and other educational initiatives developed in response to community needs.
Through these programs, participants explore Black history, culture, cooperative economics, leadership, community organizing, healing, storytelling, and the experiences of Black people across generations. We create opportunities for children, youth, and adults to learn in ways that honor lived experience, encourage critical thinking, and strengthen connections to community.
Your contribution helps support curriculum development, educational materials, guest facilitators, cultural practitioners, books and supplies, youth programming, technology, accessibility accommodations, transportation assistance, and other resources that make this work possible.
By investing in education and cultural preservation, you are helping ensure that Black stories, knowledge, traditions, and leadership continue to thrive for generations to come.
