BWINH Inc. is dedicated to uplifting and serving the Black community. We believe that Black womxn inherently possess the power to dismantle the barriers and obstacles the Black community faces and we aim to provide opportunities for Black womxn to use their natural leadership abilities. Rooted in the principles of kinship, we strive for civic engagement and community empowerment, even in the face of persistent racial and gender discrimination.
Our focus is on social and economic development through cooperative economics. We envision an economy of caring that ensures survival, sustainability, and liberation. Through mutual aid, cooperative ownership, and economic democracy, we aim to address human needs, generate income, and create family and community-friendly solutions, all as a response to the pervasive forces of anti-Blackness and racial economic inequality.
Building on a legacy of Black Americans successfully creating and sustaining collective and cooperatively owned enterprises, we work to provide economic stability for our communitiy. In doing so, we foster various forms of human and social capital and promote community-wide well-being.
Our ultimate goal is to achieve economic liberation within the context of ongoing challenges in racial justice, gender justice, education justice, health justice, and economic justice. We recognize that human beings, particularly Black womxn and the Black community, face adversity, and we champion mutual aid, solidarity, and economic cooperation as enduring strategies for survival.
We acknowledge that Black womxn's labor and caring work are the foundation and backbone of solidarity economies. Our commitment is unwavering, as we work towards a future where the Black community thrives, free from the shackles of inequality and injustice.
