Sista Creatives Rising Fund

Sista Creatives Rising is a Black-led initiative dedicated to uplifting the voices, creativity, leadership, and lived experiences of Black disabled women, femmes, queer, trans, and gender expansive people.

Too often, Black disabled people are excluded from conversations about art, culture, leadership, healing, and community. Sista Creatives Rising exists to create spaces where Black disabled creatives can be seen, valued, supported, and celebrated while building community with others who understand the intersections of race, disability, gender, and identity.

Through creative expression, storytelling, accessibility advocacy, healing-centered programming, community gatherings, and leadership development, Sista Creatives Rising works to challenge isolation and create opportunities for connection, visibility, and collective care.

This fund supports artist stipends, accessibility accommodations, educational programming, creative projects, community events, leadership development, technology needs, and other resources that help Black disabled creatives thrive.
