Deb Kaplan is Supporting NHTP

Hello! I am Deb Kaplan, a proud Board Member of NH Theatre Project, and of course, I'm excited to participate in NH Gives! This is an important opportunity for you to support New Hampshire Theatre Project.  

We are an "applied theatre company," which means we bring the craft of theatre, film, and the performing arts out into the community. 

We use theatre to spark conversation about important topics, connect people who might otherwise not know each other, and build communities that feel welcoming and nurturing.
Our Mission:
New Hampshire Theatre Project provides a nurturing professional environment for youth, artists, and community members to be inspired and transformed through the art of theatre.  We use the art of theatre-making to spark conversation, connect individuals, and strengthen communities. We envision a community of individuals who are self-reflective, articulate, passionate, and compassionate, a community where differences are honored, history and literature are explored as resources for problem-solving, and difficult issues are negotiated with mutual respect and thoughtful community dialogue.

It is my belief that people thrive when they’re growing, connected to purpose, and empowered to make a difference.

Somewhat related, my father, a Broadway musician, would always ask after a show, “What did you think?”—not to critique, but to spark conversation. Those talks—about courage, impact, and meaning—shaped her view of theater as a force for empathy, community, and expression.

My mission is to elevate human capabilities in ways that align with the positive differences people and organizations want—and need—to make in the world. Serving on the NH Theatre Project Board of Directors is one more way I can bring this mission to life.
