Who We Are

Since 1988 New Hampshire Theatre Project (NHTP) has been using the art of theatre-making to spark conversation, connect individuals and strengthen communities. NHTP is based at our 50-seat black box theatre in the heart of Portsmouth's culturally vibrant West End, and our programs are delivered across the region in schools, businesses, healthcare institutions, arts venues and community organizations.

NHTP MainStage performances range from provocative, cutting-edge contemporary works like "The Niceties" by Eleanor Burgess to delightful classics like "Pride & Prejudice," "Sherwood" and "It's a Wonderful Life." NHTP hosts a Community Connectors Series to complement each MainStage production, featuring panels of experts on topical issues as diverse as affordable housing to wealth management and distribution...
